A 22-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court accused of murdering his uncle.
Simon Lee Parkinson, of Lower Barnes Street, Clayton-le-Moors, is charged with murdering 46-year-old Eddie Robinson.
Mr Robinson died in Blackburn Royal Infirmary on Thursday after he staggered to a neighbour's house in Barnes Street, Clayton-le-Moors, with head injuries the previous night.
Parkinson, an antiques dealer who works in the Colne area, has lived in Clayton-le-Moors all his life.
His relatives were in Blackburn Magistrates' Court to hear him refused bail and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Hyndburn Magistrates' Court on August 1.
Reporting restrictions were not lifted.
