CONGRATULATIONS on your War on Drugs campaign. If ever we needed co-ordinated action to end the evil and dangerous dealing in ever-increasing types of narcotics it is now.

The problem is one which knows no boundaries, whether political, wealthy, young or old, and is obviously getting worse, if the regular reports of arrests by the police and customs are anything to go by.

It is a sad thing to admit, but far too many people, when asked about drugs, shrug their shoulders, saying "what can I do about it?"

Increasing numbers of people know that he or she is "on drugs" but, as some of them are neighbours, keep quiet for fear of trouble to themselves or their property.

There is a massive amount of intelligence available and it needs co-ordinating, to be passed on to the authorities, with your campaign being an ideal chance to do just that.

Two words sum up the action taken by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, supported by your sister paper The Citizen - At Last.
