I NOTICED that Lancashire County Council and Blackburn Council are to give £25,000 for teaching youngsters their "mother tongue" - Urdu, Punjabi, Gujerati, etc - in mosques.
The mother tongue in this country is English.
I hope the councillors are paying for this out of their own pockets from the ten-fold pay rise they awarded themselves.
This £25,000 should go on schools not to one group of people.
We also have a Polish and Hungarian people here who have never asked for such help and probably wouldn't get it if they did.
Treat everyone the same. Don't make one set different - because they're not.
