DRUG addicts can phone their orders from a shop and have them delivered minutes later, Blackburn Police and Community Forum was told.
The meeting in Darwen Sudellside Community Centre heard the claims from a pensioner who said drug dealing was rife.
She described how addicts openly ordered drugs on the telephone at a Darwen shop and within ten minutes dealers met them with the goods.
Pledging to investigate, Divisional commander Chief Supt Eddie Walsh said: "We are aware that drugs are a massive problem.
" We are doing a great deal about it but can only put so much of our resources into it.
"We need the help of the public to provide us with more information."
He went on to praise the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's campaign to drive drugs out of our community.
"A wide range of agencies are working together to tackle this problem.
"It is good to have the power of the press with us," he explained.
