I WOULD like to draw attention to the vast number of gutter drains on main roads in Blackburn and Darwen which are blocked solid by rubble.
No drain should be blocked, as it causes surface water on roads, which makes vehicles aquaplane and also helps to cause flooding.
The people who clean the drains, or are supposed to do, are not reporting the state of the drains to the authorities, as they should do.
And the suction pipes they use would not budge the rubble. From what I have seen, it would take a drill.
