LET'S have more, we said only a couple of days ago - when looking at East Lancashire's success in attracting new jobs.
And, today, our region gets two more welcome employment boosts.
In comes a Canadian company to Blackburn in its first overseas venture, with plans to create more than 100 jobs.
Again, the lure is our region's location, its experienced workforce and the industry grants on offer - a formula that, with sharp regional and local government marketing, has already brought lots of jobs flooding in.
Then, Lancashire's vital aerospace industry - the region's high-technology skills hot-house - is given a massive boost by its share in a £2billion government order for 50 new military transport planes to replace the RAF's ageing Hercules fleet.
Quite rightly, the Ministry of Defence has opted for the Future Large Aircraft being developed by the European consortium in which the UK has a big slice instead of choosing its American rival.
That is great news for Salmesbury where the wings will be manufactured.
These welcome developments over the past few days prove, once again, that East Lancashire is booming.
