PREPARATIONS are well underway for the opening of Burnley's Business Link office.
A grant of more than £30,000 from Burnley Council's Challenge Fund is helping to establish the satellite site, one of six being set up under the Business Link umbrella in East Lancashire.
"Our key priority for Burnley Challenge Fund is to support growing businesses so they, in turn, can create jobs for local people," explained councillor Kath Reade.
"The Business Link will act as a focal point for businesses, pointing them in the right direction for help including a range of financial assistance.'
A PACKAGING firm has won a major industry award.
RPC Containers of Blackburn were voted Supplier of the Year in the Packaging Industry Awards.
"This is a tremendous accolade since the votes were cast by our customers," said general manager Reg Bamber.
"It is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of everyone at this factory."
The Guide site manufactures plastic containers for customers including Crown Paints and Nestle Rowntree.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
SANDERSON Ford of Burnley has been awarded Ford Business Centre status.
The accolade is awarded to selected dealerships able to meet Ford's rigorous standards in relation to advising and helping the business community.
