ABSOLUTELY Fabulous actress Jane Horrocks today joined the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's Drive Out Drugs campaign.
Jane, from Rawtenstall, who stars as Bubble alongside Joanna Lumley and Dawn French in the cult BBC2 comedy programme, said everyone should unite to fight the scourge of drug abuse and the crime which feeds it.
She said: "My message is simple. Drugs kill, don't do drugs." Jane, 33, who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and spent the early part of her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company, has appeared in several films and forms part of Tesco's current advertising campaign.
Among her greatest achievements were as a young bulimia sufferer in the film Life Is Sweet and she also appeared in a video for the band New order.
The actress added: "I fully support the Lancashire Evening Telegraph's Drive Out Drugs campaign and wish it every success. This is a very important issue."
Scores of people have telephoned our Drive Out Drugs hotline to report drug dealing activity since it was set up.
