FIVE Clitheroe Grammar School sixth-formers hope to raise cash for a children's charity from a sponsored cycle ride to Paris.
James Gill, Michael Wood, Matthew Fishlock, Daniel Parkinson and Jonathan Carter set off on their mammoth 500-mile trek from Blackpool on August 8.
They are cycling from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower in a bid to raise more £1,000 for Derian House. They will be waved off by Blackpool Mayor Coun Fred Jackson and Mayoress Coun Pamela Jackson.
They have received support from the grammar school's Blue Sky Scheme, which offers cash to fund-raising youngsters.
Anyone wishing to give further sponsorship can contact James Gill on 01200 425911.
