I too share the feelings of correspondents who object to Blackburn Council's £25,000 grant for minority languages.
Alas, as usual, I feel our objections will come to nothing. Time and time again, the council have proved they don't give a damn about public opinion.
This has been proven in the past by the wholesale derision for the "artistic" Metal Trees. What do the council do next? - waste £15,000 on the insane "works of art" around the town centre.
The councillors are suffering the same malaise that afflicted the last Tory government. They have been in power too long.
They think they are impregnable. Let me fire a warning shot.
I have a good memory and when the next local election takes place, I will catalogue all the crazy mismanagement of the present Labour council.
My message to the local electorate will be "show me a Labour voter and I'll show you a fool".
