TEENAGE singer Sandra Blakelidge is set for TV stardom after hitting the right note at a karaoke competition.
Sandra, 13, of Clayton Street, Great Harwood, was picked as a finalist in satellite channel Challenge TV's Karaoke Challenge programme after winning a heat run by the Red Rose Rock FM radio station.
Footage of her winning performance filmed in Morecambe will be screened on the satellite and cable quiz show channel in September.
Her mum Carol said: "It was brilliant. She had never done it before but usually sings in the house. Her favourite is Whitney Houston.
"When she took part in the heat in Accrington, the audience voted for her to win.
"The audience voted for her again in Morecambe."
The Moorhead high school pupil used the Robert Palmer song Addicted To Love for her winning moment.
Her prize was an Arbiter personal karaoke machine which she plans to share with sister Tracey, six, and brother Christopher, 11.
Mrs Blakelidge added: "Sandra has got her head screwed on. She wants to do well at school and then become a singer."
