WE work at great pleasure on a national level rehabilitating over 150 foals, horses and ponies, 25 goats, 14 pigs, 4 sheep, 8 cockerels, 28 rabbits and 6 guinea pigs.
All the above animals are available for adoption which is from £10 yearly (lifetime adoptions £100) We are asking for help from your animal loving readers to adopt one of these animals or help with fund-raising.
We need a minimum of £2,000 a week to maintain our sanctuary and overflow establishments and no animals has yet been refused refuge. Please help us to keep our doors open.
Mrs Lomas, Only Foals and Horses Sanctuary, Redshell Lane, Off Haslingden Old Road, Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire. We all make mistakes Why is the Citizen keeping up an unfair campaign against the council highlighting its failings instead of concentrating on the good work it does? If you went to any other area I'm sure you would find just as many council issues to pick on and hold up to ridicule and doesn't that prove that Lancaster council is no better but no worse than many others up and down the country? You appear to be hounding the council just because of a few mistakes.
Mrs E Brown, Broadway.
