POLICE are still waiting to speak to a stabbing victim who was found unconscious in Avenham Park, Preston on July 24.
Thomas Murray, 54, has only just come off a ventilator but is too poorly to be interviewed.
Mystery surrounds the incident which left the victim slumped near the park's tram bridge just after 5am two weeks ago.
Mr Murray was wearing khaki trousers, black Dr Marten boots, a white shirt with pink stripes and two jumpers over the top, one of which was blue. Contact Preston Police on 01772 203203 with any information.
Mr Murray has been moved between three towns because of a shortage of intensive care beds.
He was first treated at Royal Preston Hospital then was transferred to Wigan. He then came back to Preston only to be redirected to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
He will return Preston when a bed becomes free. Royal Preston Hospital has space for eight intensive care beds but funding only allows for six, or seven in exceptional circumstances, and all beds are full.
Steve Ashcroft, chief executive of Preston Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "It is inevitable when there are peaks of demand."
