I WANT to warn residents of the Gilda Road and Glendale Road area of Mosley Common, who are owners of cats or other small pets, to be on the lookout for two dogs which hunt as a pair.
Both these dogs are brown; the lighter of the two standing about 18 inches tall is a mongrel, the darker one resembles a Corgi and is quite a heavy and thickset animal.
Recently these dogs chased and attacked my 12-year-old cat, who was sitting on our drive. They caught her and carried out a most vicious attack, leaving her with horrific injuries.
We took her to a vet in Leigh where she was put on a drip, and left to come out of shock. Later her injuries become apparent. Unfortunately she died the following day.
This has left my family with the loss of a very faithful pet, and, needless to say, a large bill from the vet.
I hope to catch these dogs and pass them on to the Metro dog warden.
What happens to them after that is of no concern of mine. Should these dogs be destroyed, you can rest assured we will not lose any sleep over them.
