JETTING off to somewhere exotic to take your wedding vows is getting to be the norm for many couples these days, but when Jason Hunter and Nicole Pearce decided to tie the knot in sunny Spain they went one step further - by flying out their entire 70-strong reception party!
The couple, who were engaged for five years, were married at Los Belones Church in the seaside resort of La Manga, Southern Spain, and enjoyed a reception at the nearby Hyatt Hotel.
Nicole's parents, Keith and Norma Pearce, of Avery Road, Haydock, spent 18 months organising the wedding and in the four days leading up to the big event the party took part in various activities including a barbecue, a party at a private apartment and a day trip to Sardine Island.
The Pearce family, who own Shaun's off-licences in Parr and St Helens town centre, have had an apartment in La Manga for the last 11 years and Nicole thought it would provide the ideal setting for her marriage to Widnes Rugby League player Jason.
The couple stayed in the resort for the honeymoon and are now enjoying married life back at their new home in Redruth Avenue, Laffak.
