THREE people were taken to hospital with slight injuries following a road accident in Islands Brow on Thursday, July 31.
Three cars were involved in the accident at about 7.50am, which police believe may have been caused by a slippery substance seeping onto the road from the 'burgies' on either side.
The road was closed to motorists for two hours while workers from St Helens Council put down sand to make conditions safe for driving.
