ST HELENS-born Mike Ahearne, Warrior in the popular Gladiators TV programme, was committed to Crown Court by magistrates at St Helens this week.
Thirty-six-year-old Ahearne, senior detective Elmore Davies and Tony Bray, were charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice between July 13 last year and March 13 this year.
Bray, and another police officer, Ken Bradley, are also accused of conspiring to corrupt public officials.
The four accused were remanded on conditional bail to Liverpool Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on Sept 15.
Reporting restrictions were not lifted.
