WANNABE TV presenter Lee Meakin is one step nearer his ambition after his impression of Jim Carrey earned him a place on the small screen.
The eight-year-old does a mean impression of the Mask star and it was this which won over judges of a Children's BBC competition.
Entrants had to send in a 30-second video of themselves introducing their favourite television programme with the best each week being shown on screen and earning a portable television.
Lee, from Berwick Road, Blackpool, chose the Moonmins for his introduction in the guise of Jim Carrey and it paid off.
Thrilled mum Christine told the Citizen: "Lee has always wanted to be on television and he was really pleased about seeing himself.
"He takes Jim Carrey off to a tee so this was an ideal chance to show how good he was.
"Making the video was like water off a duck's back for Lee because he has so much confidence.
"In fact, one of his teachers said he could see him presenting Blue Peter one day, so you never know what could happen in the future."
