IT'S scandalous that Burnley Council are being given the power to decide the future of the residents of Rectory Road.
The proposals for the demolition of these properties are grossly unfair. If our so-called caring council really did care, they would take into consideration the feelings of these people and have an open vote where they would establish the real reasons behind these proposals.
It won't be long before we are unable to have any say whatsoever in any major council decisions.
The Council are elected by the people of Burnley to serve the community, not cause pandemonium.
They should be made to realise their loyalty towards the people of Burnley. The people who voted them into power can easily vote them out.
