A TRAIN ploughed at 50mph into a barricade of concrete blocks, metal and logs on the vandal-plagued East Lancashire line.
Badly-shaken passengers had to walk a quarter of a mile to Burnley Central station where they were taken by bus to their destinations, and services were disrupted throughout the night.
British Transport Police warned the vandalism could have ended in tragedy.
