I AM preparing a book about the many men who died in flying accidents in Derbyshire during the Second World War.
One was Aircraftsman Wilfred Cottom, of Witton, Blackburn, who was killed on July 3, 1941, aged just 19, and is buried in the churchyard at Pleasington Priory.
I would like to contact anyone who knew or was related to him to assist me with the research for my book which will be dedicated to the memory of all the airmen who died in Derbyshire.
