REGARDING the Hyndburn roads saga, the points made (Letters, August 11) are all relevant to the on-going chaos in the area, but probably the most disturbing fact is that there is no comment from the authorities.
Do the elected powers never listen to the people who elected them? Are they immune to public opinion and the feelings they have thrust on the community?
How can they justify that some of the work done on the highways of our towns is changed back to the original within days of completion? The cost of these operations must run into thousands of pounds. The people who are responsible must use the roads in question, but they give the impression of all being non-drivers or pedestrians.
