DRIVING through Rishton's main street is a nightmare - it's an incomplete assault course.
Why don't they go the whole hog and put gates across it?
What is the cost of this 'blot on Rishton?' Let's rename it 'Hazard.'
It's an insult to drivers' intelligence.
Whoever is re-designing this town does not drive and obviously doesn't ride a bicycle either. Where does the cyclist go when he meets a 'cycle ends' sign? Does he put his bicycle over his shoulder and walk away? I fear it will have a detrimental effect on trade.
On the other hand, I could be wrong and it may bring in sightseers to see what is going on.
