POLICE are investigating an arson attack on a flat in Burnley when burning paper was pushed through a letter box.
Tracy Allen, 17, has only rented the flat at Parklands View for a week and had gone into Burnley at 10pm on Saturday for a night out.
She had left the flat for a short while when neighbours spotted youths in the area and then noticed a fire had been started inside the flat.
Tracy said: "It is scary. I have only lived here for a week and I don't know anyone around here.
"It was a shock when my boyfriend said the police and fire brigade were at my flat and I was worried about what damage had been caused.
"There is only one door to get out and if I had been in the flat when the fire was started I don't know how I would have got out."
The blaze damaged a small section of carpet behind the door.
