SHEARER, Batty, Le Saux, Berg, Warhurst, Given and Dalglish as manager. What a team!

At least four - plus the manager - would find their way into any Premiership team.

I wouldn't have thought these would be the names on the outgoings and transfer sheets of a club that was trying to conquer Europe, or from a club which tells us every single week it is not a selling club.

I am sick to the back teeth of reading: "We don't need to sell any of our first team squad and won't sell any of them."

I consider myself a loyal Rovers fan and have been following Rovers for 20 years.

But, month after month, I am getting more disillusioned.

Not a selling club? We have taken £31 million plus on six transfers of some of the best Rovers players ever.

You don't sell your best players unless you need the money. And Blackburn must be the only football club on the planet who would dismiss Kenny Dalglish - through the past at that.

With respect to the current playing staff, I am still waiting for Blackburn to sign a world-class player. It seems every other club in the Premiership can sign them.

We keep being told by Rob Coar and Jack Walker we are going to spend big and bring in world class names, but it never happens.

In fact, we are probably bottom in the spending table over the last three years.

There is something sadly wrong down at Ewood Park. It's not just the best players leaving Rovers.

It's happening from every position in the club - Terry Ibbotson, John Howarth, Alan Irvine, Steve Foster and Terry Gennoe.

If Mr Coar can't make a statement without the opposite happening, he would be better off saying nothing.
