A £30 million aero engine contract is helping swell the order book at Rolls-Royce's Barnoldswick plant.

The firm has announced a deal with Emirates airlines to power two jets with Trent engines.

Wide chord fan blades for the Trent series are manufactured at the Barnoldswick plant.

The order follows a contract for 16 Trent 700 powered Airbus aircraft announced earlier this year.
