POLICE sealed off three areas of Nelson in a night search for a Balaclava-clad gun-man who burst into a house and threatened a baby-sitting dad.
The incident late on Sunday night led to a four hour hunt and raids on three houses.
A fire-arm was later recovered and is being tested to see if has been used.
The threatened man has not been identified. He left his young children in bed and ran to a nearby house to escape.
The police called in marksmen and sealed off Valley Close, St John's Place and Chapel House Road.
ZA man in his 20s was arrested during a raid on a house in Nelson. He was released on police bail.
