GLAZEBURY CC somehow salvaged a draw in their North West Counties League clash with Hale.
A score of 207-6 was always looked too strong a target for the Glazebury lads, who toiled in the field, using seven bowlers with Gareth Banks the pick of them at 2-30.
At the close Glazebury's final pair were toiling at the wicket, still 70 runs adrift on 137-9.
Opener John Acton was top scorer on 36, Banks following his fine spell of bowling by hitting 25 with Jon Gibbons a defiant and unbeaten 21.
Glazebury 2nd went down by two wickets in a hard-fought game at Hale.
They reached 139-6 in 47 overs, skipper Roger Davenport hitting 44, Graham Greensmith 45 not out and Stuart Caller weighing in with a brisk 22.
Mark Tomlinson took 3-45 and Tom Milmine 3-37 as Hale replied with 142-8, winning with two overs to spare.
