DIGGER driver Thomas Prior and shopkeepers had a amazing escape when his machine ran out of control down a steep hill.
The digger was near the top of Montague Street in Blackburn when its brakes failed.
It began to run downhill with driver Mr Prior, 35, of Liverpool, chasing it. It crashed into an antique shop but Mr Prior escaped with a cut to his arm and hand.
