RECENTLY we have been made aware of the problems which the Mir Spacecraft has been undergoing.
A possible reason for this could be that the astronauts have suddenly noticed another man-made wonder on earth - Hyndburn's new modern and ancient road system of chicanes, cycle paths, bollards and road humps.
The Great Wall of China, visible from space, is a well known tourist attraction - cycle and rickshaw transport readily available. Could it be that Hyndburn Council, discreetly and with phenomenal foresight have allowed returned Russian astronauts to set up their own tourist agencies, thereby assisting job creation in East Lancashire's tourist trade?
