BLACKBURN was losing residents faster than any other town in Lancashire - despite having the highest number of children.
The drain of people from the town was revealed in the detailed census results for Lancashire.
They showed that in the 10 years since 1981, Blackburn had the biggest drop in population - 5.4 per cent.
Children under 16 made up one in four of residents.
