Burnley v Lincoln City - Tony Dewhurst's big match preview
LINCOLN City boss John Beck has fired a Coca-Cola Cup warning at Turf Moor: "We can finish the job."
Beck brings Lincoln to Turf Moor tonight confident the Third Division side can out-gun the Clarets and win a place in round two.
"We will not be worried about coming to Burnley," said Beck.
"Turf Moor is always a great place to play football and my players will relish that environment.
"We proved last season when we matched Southampton and Manchester City in this competition that we can compete with teams in a higher league than us.
"In fact, my players are looking forward to the great challenge of testing their skills against several players in the Burnley side who have played in the Premiership. "We were very unlucky to leave Turf Moor without a result last season in the FA Cup and we aim to try and put that right tonight."
Lincoln - despite losing their opening day fixture at Chester - have since clocked up two League wins. The most impressive was the 2-1 win against Notts County at Meadow Lane on Saturday.
Beck added: "We played ever so well at Notts County and that result has given everybody a boost for the Burnley tie.
"We really do believe that we can come up to Burnley and get through to round two."
Admission prices for tonight's tie have been slashed. No tickets are required and it will be all pay on the turnstiles. Adult prices for each section have been cut by £2 - with concessions available at £1 less than the usual price.
If the aggregate scores are level at the end of 90 minutes tonight then extra time will be played.
If extra time does not produce a result then away goals will count as double. If the sides still remain equal, the game will be decided by penalty kicks. Kick-off at Turf Moor is 7.45 pm.
