JOHN Brodie, the East Lancashire man who survived 19 hours adrift at sea off the Welsh coast, has been discharged from hospital.
But there is still no news of his 23-year-old son Charles, who is now presumed dead, after the pair's boat capsized off Llandudno on Sunday.
Mr Brodie, 45, of Scout Bottom, Rossendale, was plucked from the sea by a coastguard helicopter after he and Charles stayed afloat by inflating a pair of waders.
However, Charles swam off, prompting a huge search which was later abandoned.
Retired haulier Mr Brodie, who survived temperatures of 18 degrees, was discharged from Gwynedd Hospital, Bangor, yesterday.
A spokesman for the Holyhead Coastguard today said Charles' body had not yet been found.
