LITTLE heroine Victoria Congleton acted quickly to stop a chip pan fire turning into a serious blaze.
Victoria, eight, was watching TV when she smelled smoke coming from the kitchen of her home in Richmond Hill Street, Accrington. She opened the kitchen door, saw the fire and immediately slammed the door shut before running next door for help.
Fire officers praised Victoria's quick thinking.
