FAMILIES were facing travel turmoil following escalation of strike action by Spanish air traffic controllers.
Holidaymakers heading for Spain faced nightmare delays of at least 16 hours on flights from Manchester Airport.
And as 140 air traffic controllers in Barcelona were voting whether to stage a second 24-hour strike those booked on seven-day trips were warned they could lose a day of their holiday.
