THANK you Coun John Milburn (Letters August 19) for replying to my concerns about the Livesey Estate in Blackburn and also to two residents whose remarks, sharing our fears, were printed the same night.
Perhaps a few more residents who feel this way may now be persuaded to complain.
May I suggest that if we are now under the Ewood Ward's umbrella and if this now covers the whole of Livesey Estate and not just part, that our new councillors, now knowing more of our problems and feelings, contact the council's repair service, the cleansing department and the lettings office to inspect them and see what help they can get for us.
Maybe a public meeting could be arranged in the near future to let residents voice their fears and opinions.
Then, perhaps, we would not need to hide behind non-de-plumes for fear of repercussions from undesirables.
