"THE Greatest Free Show on Earth" will light up the eyes of thousands of seaside visitors as singer Michael Ball hits the right note at the switching on of Blackpool Illuminations tomorrow night.
The dazzling display will run until November 2 with a number of new features to add to the magic.
The switch-on will be presented in conjunction with Radio 2 and DJs Alan Freeman, Steve Wright and "Whispering" Bob Harris presenting the show.
As well as heartthrob Michael Ball there will be music from Barbara Dickson, Lindisfarne and Katrina and the Waves before the switch is thrown at 9.15pm to light up the night sky.
A preview of the illuminations last night was featured during the National Lottery draw. The lights, which attract massive crowds, allow Blackpool to extend its season well into the autumn when most other seaside resorts are closing down.
