THE true extent of the poll tax fiasco was revealed in a report commissioned by the Government.
A survey of more than 200 local authorities showed that millions of pounds of community charge were still unpaid, and thousands of claims for benefit relief unprocessed.
Blackburn MP Jack Straw said the report revealed the true scale of the poll tax disaster.
