BLACKBURN Cathedral will be open all week for "quiet reflection and thought" after the Paris tragedy.
The Provost, the Very Rev David Frayne, today lit a candle in Diana's memory.
He said people could go to the cathedral to light candles and say prayers all week.
"We hope the peace and quiet of the cathedral will be of some benefit to people," he said.
A book of remembrance is also expected to be opened for people to write their thoughts and memories of the Princess.
