Breightmet 7 mSt Helens Crusaders 48 CRUSADERS couldn't have made a better start to the season.
They were given a flying start when C. Rice scored a great individual try from the kick-off.
But then they relaxed and all they had to show for the rest of their first-half efforts was a touchdown from Rodgers.
After the break the floodgates opened and tries came from Bloor, Worral, Ball, Dunne (2) and man-of-the-match Whitrow (2). Goals were added by Saunders and Rice.
Ledger and Rowson were also in form for Crusaders.

Try scorers for Crusaders were Thomas Armstrong, man-of-the-match Anthony Harden (2), and Andrew Yates (2)Martin Harper kicked two goals and Harden one. Coaches award winner was Ryan Hannon, with Stephen Lynch and Scott Wakefield most improved. Chris Howell and Dean Foxall also did well.
