FATHER Damian Feeney, assistant priest at Preston Parish Church, added his reflections to the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
He said: "As I write this, it is less than 48 hours since the horrific moment when Diana, Princess of Wales, along with her friend Dodi Fayed and the driver of their car were so tragically killed in Paris.
Since 9am today (September 1), the church door has been open and there has been a constant stream of visitors seeking the quiet of the Parish Church to pray, be silent, to cry, to think.
And I have heard it again and again: 'It's too much to take in - I can't believe that she's dead.'
May she rest in peace and rise in glory."
