PUPILS at Walter Street school, Brierfield, became radio newshounds during a language and literacy week.
They began their activities with a colourful balloon launch and interviewed authors and a politician to get a taste of journalism.
They used their information to put together a radio programme, Walter Street FM, and learned how to write cue cards and put together a running order.
They even found time to compile a special sports reports featuring Walter Street's cricketers' success at Old Trafford.
