THE funeral of 13-year-old Jane Walmsley who lost her life in a house fire in Accrington takes place on Monday.
A service will be held at St Andrew's Church, Accrington, at 1.45pm, then the cortege will pass Moorhead High School, where Jane was a pupil, on its way to Accrington crematorium.
Songs by her favourite band, Boyzone, will be played at the service.
Jane died at her Lister Street home 11 days ago and her six-year-old sister, Jordan, and brother, Wesley, 10, were overcome by fumes.
Wesley has now been released from Booth Hall Children's Hospital, Manchester, where Jordan is recovering on a ward.
Prayers were said for Jane in a special school assembly at Moorhead today. Pupils have held a collection for flowers and teachers will attend the funeral.
Head teacher Allan Grey said: "We were shocked and saddened to hear of Jane's tragic death.
"She had been at Moorhead for two years and was a lovely, polite girl who had many friends and got on well with her teachers.
"Jane was always so enthusiastic and full of life."
