LISA CAIN is taking her off-stage romance into the spotlight.
Her debut with St Joseph's Players sees her playing Joan who is about to marry Robin - played by boyfriend Michael Wilkinson.
"At least I know what to expect," she laughed.
Lisa, 26, has only once before appeared on stage - that was in "HMS Pinafore" at St Mary's RC High a few years ago.
Now she is in the last weeks of rehearsal for J B Priestley's "Time And The Conways", which will be staged from September 16-19.
The play is the first half of the Leigh company's Autumn Double. It will be followed (October 7-10) by the Alan Ayckbourn comedy "Table Manners".
Tickets (£3) for both plays are available at Boardman's Outfitters, Bradshawgate, Leigh.
