OCCUPATIONAL therapist Lesley Stockton is hoping to get to the bottom of a sore problem.
But she needs vital help from men and woman who spend all their time in wheelchairs.
Recently, Lesley's research work received a Royal reward at a presentation ceremony at the annual conference of occupational therapists.
Princess Anne, patron of the College of Occupational Therapists, made the award .
Now Lesley, an OT for 22 years, is looking to develop her Manchester University PhD research into pressure sore prevention for wheelcahir users and their carers.
"If full-time wheelchair users - not occasional users -could spare me 15 minutes I would welcome the opportunity to listen to their opinions on pressure sores and their prevention," said Lesley, who has received some financial help from the Hospital Savings Association.
Lesley promises strict confidentiality and no personal identifying information is required.
If you want to help her research and are over 18, phone or fax 01942-681995.
