A SPECTACLE of colour and music from around the world brought the sunshine to Morecambe Bay at the weekend.
Despite forecasts of rain, thousands of sun-drenched revellers ended the summer with a magical mix of hippy vibes and cosmopolitan style.
With 24 artists from 12 different countries performing for this year's WOMAD Festival, Morecambe was the place to be with the party going on until six in the morning.
On Friday night, musicians from the Gambia delighted the audience at the Thirsty World Gala with tribal, African beats and rhythms.
Big blue skies tempted thousands into the resort on Saturday to hear music from across the globe - from Uganda's Geoffrey Oryema to Hungary's haunting and evocative Marta Sebestyen.
Scotland's Peat Bog Faeries served up a scintillating brew of dance rhythms blended with classic Gaelic instrumentals (including tiger skin bagpipes!) while the split-log drum sounded the powerful beat being Te Vaka, a 10-piece ensemble from the South Pacific.
Sunday's grey skies failed to dampen the spirits with countless food stalls offering tasty international dishes and the Global village bringing a world bazaar to the promenade.
