THE tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales has robbed the country of its greatest ambassador.
And it is perhaps sad that while she was alive the Princess was not used in that role as she should have been.
It has been very moving to see just how popular Diana was as millions around the world mourn her death.
The Princess of Wales had personal tragedies in her life and was not always happy.
And on occasions, like any other human being, the Princess made mistakes.
Yet shining through all this was Diana's compassion for those who were less fortunate than herself and the disadvantaged in society around the world.
The Princess really did care about people and as can be seen millions around the world loved her for it.
I am sure that the best tribute we could all give to Diana is to follow her example to try to help those who are in need.
Without doubt the earth is a poorer place with the death of the Princess.
But I trust that she will never be forgotten.
And I trust that Diana will have found the peace and contentment which often eluded her while she was on earth.
Our loss is surely heaven's gain?
