A FREEZING walker was forced to spend the night in a disused quarry hut after he was caught by bad weather on a Lake District mountain.
Peter Leeming, 23, sparked a full scale search when he failed to return home to Bleasdale Avenue, Clitheroe.
Driving rain had made him lose the track as he went up Coniston Old Man and although he found it again, it was dark by the time he reached the summit.
