A MOTORCYCLIST was recovering at home in Burnley today after a head-on collision with a car in which another rider died.
Jason Phillips, 24, of Coal Clough Lane, suffered leg injuries, cuts and bruises after coming off his Honda VSR 400cc machine on the A65 Clapham by-pass between Settle and Ingleton, North Yorkshire.
Police said Mr Phillips was travelling towards Settle at 1.35pm on Saturday when he collided head-on with a Peugeot.
Another motorbike rider, Paul Best, 29, of Adlington, near Chorley, who was on a Honda CBR 600, also collided with the car and was killed.
Mr Phillips was taken to Airedale General Hospital, Steeton, but released after treatment.
The car driver, Eric Ward, of Settle, also went to the hospital with neck injuries but was treated and discharged.
