Barrow 2 Accrington Stanley 0
LEE O'Keefe and Neil Morton scored either side of half-time to ruin Stanley's unbeaten away record in the UniBond Premier League.
Worse still for Stanley was the standard of a performance which did not bring one single desperation save from the Barrow keeper.
O'Keefe made it 1-0 after a cross from the right found him unmarked and he headed home from close in.
Barrow again surged forward in the 51st minute, won a free kick which Brown played wide to Robinson who drilled the ball across the goal for Morton to score from close range to make it 2-0.
There was no way back for Stanley from there.
Greg Challender won an early corner but headed wide from the resultant kick.
Steve Berryman and Russell Proctor both made clearances before Berryman saved from Brown, the Barrow winger. A good move saw Jim McCluskie put Dave Leaver through but his goal-bound shot was blocked by McAuley and cleared.
Darren Davies tried to lob the ball over Farrelly's head from wide on the right but it simply fell into his outstretched hands.
Danny Mills sent a shot over the bar and then attempted to send Leaver through, but his pass wasn't good enough and the move broke down.
Lee Rogerson then had a shot dealt with comfortably by the keeper and from the corner he grabbed the ball from Challender.
Darren Davies then fired a free kick in to Proctor only for him to head wide. Right on half time Berryman made a good save from a Paul Robertson strike from the edge of the box, then Rogerson fired in a dipping shot that just cleared the bar.
Berryman then made a double save from first Brown and then Morton to keep Barrow at bay. Phil Hutchinson replaced Mills and a Proctor pass saw him hare down the left hand side, beat the full back and cross for McCluskie to volley the ball over the bar.
John Borland replaced the injured Rogerson with five minutes to go. Berryman saved from substitute Ged Hennigan and Challender then shot wide as the game came to a close.
